We are three friends who transitioned from office roles because we wanted to build a business with our own hands, providing unmatched value to our Greensboro neighbors.
Our Journey to Ownership
We didn't start in the home services industry. Christopher was a software developer who transitioned to driving for Amazon to find a new path, while Paul spent his days navigating delivery routes for Amazon. Meanwhile, Carl worked as an operations supervisor at Home Depot while pursuing his business degree in college.
Although our professional backgrounds are different, we shared the exact same drive: we wanted to build a business of our own, control our own path, and take direct, personal pride in the work we do.
By joining forces to create Once Dirty, we combined our logistics, operations, and technical skills into a local, owner-operated service. We traded office routines for a brand we are proud to run ourselves, delivering premier quality directly to the Greensboro community.

Carl Shelley
Co-Founder
A business student and former operations supervisor at Home Depot, Carl blends management theory with hands-on client service and team leadership. He leverages his retail operations experience to streamline project scheduling and coordinate on-site workflow, ensuring every clean is executed efficiently.
Paul Peters
Co-Founder
A former delivery logistics driver, Paul brings a down-to-earth perspective and a deep dedication to Once Dirty. Known for being level-headed and highly passionate about his craft, he walked away from the daily routing grind to build a business focused on client relationships and direct, reliable local service.
